NOT THAT BAD: DISPATCHES FROM RAPE CULTURE (U.K. launch)

9 November @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Roxane Gay’s New York Times-bestselling anthology NOT THAT BAD: DISPATCHES FROM RAPE CULTURE finally reaches the UK! Celebrate its timely publication by joining a conversation about how to write back to – and fight back against – rape culture with NTB contributor, writer and activist So Mayer (From Rape to Resistance: Taking Back the Screen), writer Preti Taneja (We that are young), filmmaker Jade Jackman (Eye Want Change), and poets Elizabeth-Jane Burnett and Emily Critchley (co-editors, #MeToo: A Poetry Collective, Chicago Review). A short screening accompanied by readings from NOT THAT BAD, We that are young and the #MeToo poetry collective will lead into a discussion about writing, rape culture and resistance.
