“Go home!” is always a slur, but often also an impossibility. This anthology of stories, essays, and poems contains twenty-four unique and diverse explorations of home. What does it mean to belong and how does it feel to be an outsider?
ROWAN HISAYO BUCHANAN is the editor of Go Home! and the author of the novel Harmless Like You. which was a New York Times Editors’ Pick and an NPR 2017 Great Read. Her short work has appeared in Granta, The Atlantic, The Guardian, and Electric Literature among other places. She was an AAWW Margins Fellow, and has received a Betty Track Award and The Authors’ Club First Novel Award.
SHARLENE TEO is the winner of the inaugural Deborah Rogers Writer’s Award for Ponti, her first novel, forthcoming in April 2018. She completed a Creative Writing MA at the University of East Anglia, where she received the Booker Prize Foundation Scholarship and David T.K Wong Creative Writing award. She is a 2014 Sozopol Fiction Fellow, a 2017 University of Iowa International Writing Fellow and was shortlisted for the 2017 Berlin Writing Prize.
LUIZA SAUMA was born in Rio de Janeiro and raised in London. Her debut novel, Flesh and Bone and Water, was published by Viking in 2017. She has an MA in Creative & Life Writing from Goldsmiths, where she won the Pat Kavanagh Award, and has also been shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize.
WILL HARRIS is an Assistant Editor at The Rialto and part of the editorial team behind Swimmers. He has published a pamphlet of poems, All this is implied (HappenStance), and an essay, Mixed-Race Superman, is forthcoming from Peninsula Press. His work is also featured in the Bloodaxe anthology Ten: Poets of the New Generation.
GUY GUNARATNE is a novelist and documentary filmmaker. As a video journalist he has covered human rights stories in post-conflict areas around the world. His debut novel In Our Mad and Furious City is released by Tinder Press on May 3rd 2018. You can find him @guygunaratne
