Launch: Flat Filters: the debut graphic novel by Chino Moya and Tal Brosh.
18 September @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Please join us for the launch of Flat Filters, the debut graphic novel by London-based writer-illustrator duo Chino Moya and Tal Brosh.
A thirty-something year old wakes up one morning, looks through the window of his apartment and discovers that the world is gone. The building where he lives is now surrounded by an endless extension of a flat yellow floor and a monotone, sunless sky.
As he runs out of food and water he decides to venture out on an existential mission in which the memories of his past life and the uncertainty of his current situation play an equal part.
Chino is a writer and filmmaker born in Spain who has made music videos for artists like St. Vincent, many commercials around the world and is currently finalising his first feature film, Undergods. Tal is an illustrator and graphic designer born in Israel working for clients like Vice, Converse and National Theatre.
Sharing similar tastes in graphic novels, films and literature and living across the road from each other in a narrow mews in Dalston it didn’t take them long to start a creative partnership aiming to fulfil their long time dream of making comic books.
The event will include a display of some of the book’s original drawings.
