Live Music: Flo Perlin, Josh Geffin and Dear Brother
2 February @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Join us for a Sunday afternoon of unplugged music in our basement gallery space. Flo Perlin, Josh Geffin and Dear Brother will perform their own songs and collaborate on one another’s in a fully acoustic performance.
Born and raised in London, Flo Perlin grew up surrounded by a diverse range of music which has influenced her personal and musical landscape ever since. Flo learned to play cello from the age of five and subsequently taught herself guitar and piano as a way to write songs to tell the stories that moved through her. Flo will be performing a set of personal songs that she has written as a way to journal her experiences. Already having composed an Album and EP and performed around the world, Flo has a new EP on the way and will be playing a sneaky preview!
Josh Geffin is a singer-songwriter from Dorset now based in London. He has self-released four records including two of original songs, an EP of traditional folk songs and his latest, the meditative instrumental album Hum & Glow (mixed by Grammy-nominated Sonny Johns). His inventive fingerstyle guitar playing and heartfelt singing have led to comparisons with folk legends Bert Jansch and John Martyn.
