La Errante: A Journal of Art & Literature
London - Madrid
Issue 2
La Errante is a collaborative project by a group of writers, editors, artists and booksellers who met in Madrid in 2016, having worked across Europe and America in their respective fields. They currently work between Madrid and London.
La Errante began when their shared passion for literature and the visual arts led to a series of events at the Desperate Literature bookshop, Madrid, and quickly developed into the desire to produce a magazine that furthered these interests, all the while drawing on the range of writers and artists met on route.
In the tradition of Surrealist and Situationist magazines as well as contemporary zine culture, La Errante aims to present words and images on an equal footing, just as we aim to present writing and art from different languages and cultures alongside one another without bias or borders.
The second issue contains a new short story by Joanna Walsh, artwork by Óscar Raña and others, and poetry by Ben Aleshire, Scherezade Siobhan, Manuel Vilas, and the celebrated Bulgarian poet Ani Ilkov, amongst others. In all, this issue features work from England, Spain, the United States, Galicia, Catalunya, the Netherlands, Greece, India–Rroma, and Bulgaria.
