JD works across text, image, collage and film. His work is driven by his experience of neurodivergence and hyperfixations, and explores topics such as Hauntology, Gay social histories, ekphrasis, disability, and ecopoetics. Noises Again was written/collected over a five-year period following the day of the Pulse Nightclub shooting. It is a poem in the form of a conceptual play, and collages text from newspaper articles detailing LGBT+ trauma, inserting this found material into the structure of Romeo and Juliet. The text ends with a sequence of erasure poems taken from The Complete Works of Shakespeare.

Content Note – Noises Again features descriptions of physical, sexual, and systemic violence against LGBT+ people. Reader discretion is advised. Please contact the author or publisher for further details.
