Join us for a joint celebrattion of Duets and Cybernetics, or Ghosts? with Jarred McGinnis and Tice Cin.
Duets is eight astounding short stories written by sixteen superb authors, including Jarred McGinnis. Woven back and forth between two writers, the stories in Duets are lyrical and exhilarating, their drama formed by the harmonies and tensions in their creation.
Cybernetics, or Ghosts? Edited by writer and artist Michael Salu, fifteen of today’s most daring writers from across the globe read and respond to Italo Calvino’s seminal essay ‘Cybernetics and Ghosts’ with rich and expansive works of fiction.
Jarred McGinnis was chosen by the Guardian as one of the UK’s ten best emerging writers. His debut novel ‘The Coward’ was selected for BBC 2’s Between the Covers, BBC Radio 2’s Book Club and listed for the Barbellion Prize. The French edition won the First Novel Prize and was selected for the prestigious Femina prize.
Tice Cin's Keeping the House has been named one of Guardian’s Best Books of 2021, and has been featured in The Scotsman, The New York Times and the Washington Post. She is a recent recipient of a Society of Authors Somerset Maugham Prize, and was shortlisted for Book of the Year at the British Book Awards. A filmmaker, she is currently writing and co-directing three short films. She has just produced, self-funded and directed her first and second short films.
