Join us to celebrate the launch of Before Violence (Carcanet Press, 2026) by Joe Carrick-Varty with readings from Joe, Raymond Antrobus and Kandace Siobhan Walker.
Joe Carrick-Varty’s debut collection More Sky (Carcanet Press, 2023) was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize and won an Eric Gregory Award from the Society of Authors. His second book BEFORE VIOLENCE, is a PBS Spring Recommendation.
Raymond Antrobus’s poetry collections include Signs, Music (Tin House, 2024), All the Names Given (Picador/Tin House, 2021) and The Perseverance (Penned in the Margins, 2018). His memoir is The Quiet Ear: An Investigation of Missing Sound (Hogarth, 2025).
Kandace Siobhan Walker is an artist and writer based in London, England. She is the author of Kaleido (Bad Betty Press, 2022) and Cowboy (CHEERIO, 2023).
