Chichka Press is a new small press showcasing radical stories, visual traditions and mythologies from Iran and Central Asia.
Join us to celebrate the launch of our debut book Gordafarid and the Scent of Jasmine, an illustrated folktale by Iranian duo Fatemeh Zoobinparan and D.E. Rakhshandeh. Inspired by Persian miniatures and the visual traditions of medieval and early modern storytelling, it tells the story of the struggle of a community against a Terrible Deev, a demon from the underworld.
Along with the book we are also launching limited edition risograph prints from select artwork from the book.
