Join us for an evening with author Nara Vidal in conversation with publisher John Knych and translator Nathalia Faula to discuss Nara's novel Pure, at once a haunting meditation and ruthless indictment, the novel sheds a light on the ways society and ignorance can trap us, and how history is quick to forget the crimes of the past.
Nara Vidal is a Brazilian writer based in London. Her works include short stories, novels, essays and translations. She won the Oceanos Awards for her novel Sorte, and her books have been shortlisted for the Jabuti and São Paulo Literature Prize. Pure has won best novel of 2024 by the São Paulo Critics Association and is her first novel translated into English.
